The much-awaited trailer of Netflix's upcoming multi-starrer action film The Gray Man was released earlier today. Based on a 2009 novel by Mark Greaney, the Russo Brothers film is headlined by Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana De Armas, and Dhanush.

The two-minute trailer introduces us to the men of the Sierra program. When asked about what it is, Armas' character says that they are "Reckless men who you send in when you can't officially send anyone else." Ryan Gosling, one of the men in the programme locks horns with Chris Evans, his psychopathic adversary. The official logline of the film reads, "THE GRAY MAN is CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He’ll need it."

The ensemble cast includes Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Billy Bob Thornton, Alfre Woodard, Regé-Jean Page, Julia Butters, Eme Ikwuakor, and Scott Haze.

Joe Russo wrote the screenplay with inputs from Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The film is being produced by Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Russo Brothers, Mike Larocca, and Chris Castaldi.

The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 22.
