Rajinikanth's speech was the highlight of the recently held Jailer success meet. Organised by Sun Pictures, the event was attended by the entire cast and crew of the film.
From producer Kalanithi Maran, to director Nelson, composer Anirudh, cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan, editor Nirmal, stunt choreographer Stun Shiva, to the assistant directors, Rajinikanth appreciated almost every cast and crew member involved in the film.

Talking about Vinayakan, who played the central antagonist Varma in the film, Rajinikanth said, "While shooting for the film, I used to show Gabbar Singh's scenes from Sholay to Vinayakan, he has never seen that film. I showed it to tell him how the character of Gabbar Singh created a sensation back in 1975. I told him that his character Varma will become a sensation like that." He then goes on to appreciate the actor further, "Just like how Ravanan was responsible for Raman's respect, the respect for Jailer is because of Varma. It was such a good performance."
