The makers of Nayanthara's 75th film Annapoorani - The Goddess of Food have released character posters of actors KS Ravikumar, Sathyaraj, Karthik Kumar, Suresh Chakravarthy, Redin Kingsley, Sacchu and Renuka from the film.

"Introducing Sacchu as Subbulakshmi Paati, Renuka as Saradha and Suresh Chakravarthy as Chef Suman from the family of Annapoorani - The Goddess of Food," wrote Zee Studios South on their X handle.

Redin Kingsley will play Chinto Chin, Karthik will essay the character Chef Ashwin,  KS Ravikumar will be Arusuvai Annamalai while Sathyaraj will take up the role of Chef Anand Sundarrajan. Jai, who plays the male lead will don the character Farhaan in the film.

Nilesh Krishnaa will be making his directorial debut with Annapoorani - The Goddess of Food. The film has Chennai and Trichy as the backdrop and features a musical score by Thaman S.

In a previous conversation with CE, the director said, “Nayanthara is from an orthodox family in Trichy's Srirangam. The film will showcase Nayanthara's character's journey as she chases her dream and strives hard amid all obstacles to make it come true. When we are making a film on food and Nayanthara plays the lead role, what better title can be named for this other than Annapoorani?”

Besides Nayanthara, the film also stars Jai who will be reuniting with Nayanthara after Raja Rani (2013). Sathyaraj, KS Ravikumar, Achyuth Kumar, Redin Kingsley, Kumari Sachu, Karthik Kumar, Renuka, Suresh Chakravarthy and Poornima Ravi are also part of the cast.

The film's cinematography will be handled by Sathyan Sooryan, Praveen Antony will be handling the editing. The film is backed by Zee Studios, Naad SStudios and Trident Arts.

Annapoorani - The Goddess of Food is slated to hit theatres on December 1.
