Meera Jasmine joins cast of Test

Actor Meera Jasmine has joined the cast of the upcoming Tamil film Test, the makers of the film announced on social media. The film also stars R Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth in the lead roles. The film is directed by producer Sashikanth of YNot Studios banner, marking his directorial debut.

Test marks Meera's comeback to Tamil cinema after nine years. She was last seen in the 2014 Tamil film Vingyani.

The film is said to be shot in Chennai and Bangalore until July.

The makers of Test had recently took to social media to share its technical crew. The main technical crew consists of TS Suresh as editor, Viraj Sinh Gohil as cinematographer and Dinesh Subbarayan handling stunts. While Dhruv Panjuani is the sports director, Shakthisree Gopalan will be marking her debut as composer with the film.

According to the makers, "Test is a powerful and poignant story about the triumph of the human spirit and the enduring values of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and perseverance."

Test is expected to have a worldwide release in 2024 summer.
