Sivakarthikeyan-Rajkumar Periasamy's SK21 goes on floors

The film marks RKFI's 51st production

The makers of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film, tentatively titled SK21, announced tha the film's production has begun. 

Taking to their social media handle, Raaj Kamal Films International banner, shared a video of the cast and crew at the Pooja ceremony. The film's producer Kamal Haasan sounded the clapboard. Along with the Raaj Kamal Films International banner, the film is also backed by Sony Pictures International Productions. 

Written and directed by the Rangoon-fame Rajkumar Periasamy, the film has Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. SK 21 has music composer GV Prakash Kumar, action director Stefan Richter, editor kalaivanan R and costume designer Amrita Ram. 

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan who is on a social media break, is awaiting two releases this year, Ayalaan and Maaveeran. While the first film, is expected to be science fiction, it is said to be heavy on visual effects. The film will hit the theatres for Diwali and is directed by Indru Netru Naalai fame Ravikumar. On the other hand, Sai Pallavi was last seen in Gargi.
