Vikram sustains rib injury; To join Thangalaan sets after recovery

We had earlier reported that actor Vikram will be returning to the sets of his upcoming film Thangalaan. However, there will be a delay in it after the Vikram sustained injury during the rehearsals and sustained a broken rib. As a result, the actor will not be shooting for the film for a short while, Vikram’s team informed on social media.

“Thank you for all the love and appreciation Aditha Karikalan aka Chiyaan Vikram has received and for the astounding response to PS2 from all over the world. Chiyaan sustained an injury during rehearsals resulting in a broken rib due to which he will not be able to join his Thangalaan unit for a short while. He thanks everyone for your love and promises to be back on his feet and rocking at the earliest,” the actor’s team shared on social media.

Directed by Pa Ranjith in his first collaboration with Vikram, Thangalaan is backed by Studio Green and is a period film set against the backdrop of KGF in Karnataka. It is expected to showcase the origin story of the place. The film also stars Parvathy Thiruvottu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Hari Krishnan in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Vikram is currently flooded with appreciations for his portrayal of Aditha Karikalan in the recently released Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actor played the role of Chola Prince and was appreciated for his performance in the film.
