Atharvaa-Manikandan's Hotstar sereies Mathagam 

After Thunindha Pinn in Netflix's Navarasa, Atharvaa will be returning to the OTT space with a new series titled Mathagam. The Disney+Hotstar original will be directed by Prasath Murugesan of Kidaari and Queen fame.  

Apart from Atharvaa, the series stars Manikandan and Nikhila Vimal in the lead and is produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment.

The word Mathagam denotes the forehead of an elephant and the thriller revolves around a sincere IPS officer, who takes on a crime syndicate, led by an evil mastermind. The teaser of the series shows Atharvaa as the cop and Manikandan as the gangster, facing off against each other. 

Mathagam covers a series of events that happen over a period of 30 hours. With music by Darbuka Siva, cinematography by Edwin Sakay and editing by Praveen Antony, the series also stars Gautham Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Ilavarasu, DD (Dhivyadarshini), Vadivukarasi, Aruvi Thirunavukkarasu, Munnar Ramesh, Sarath Ravi, Rishikanth and Murali Abbas.
