Khushbu: My most favourite Mani Ratnam film is Mouna Ragam

The audio launch of the second part of Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan took place with pomp and grandeur on Wednesday. In addition to the film's cast and crew being present, the event was graced by a few more stars, including director Bharathiraja, Khushbu, Shobana, Revathy, Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan, Joju George and Tamil Nadu minister Duraimurugan. 

Speaking about her experience working with Mani Ratnam, Khushbu said that she regrets not being able to do a full-fledged role in a Mani Ratnam film. She further added, "My most favourite Mani Ratnam film is Mouna Ragam, and I wish I got to play the role Revathy played in the film."

Khushbu has worked with Mani Ratnam in his Alaipayuthey. She plays a very important cameo towards the climax of the film, where she gets into a road accident with Shakthi (Shalini). 

Meanwhile, actors Revathy and Shobana were also on stage with Khushbu. When Revathy was asked about her favourite Mani film, she said, " I have done so many films with Mani Ratnam. but my most is Iruvar, where I wanted to play Aishwarya Rai's role." Shobana, on the other hand, thanked the director for making her known in Tamil Nadu.
