We had earlier reported that actors Gautham Karthik and R Sarath Kumar are teaming up for an upcoming film, Criminal. The makers have now announced that the shooting for the film has been wrapped up.

Written and directed by debutant Dhakshina Moorthy Ramar, Criminal is produced by PR Meenakshi Sundaram and IB Karthikeyan under Parsa Pictures and Big Print Pictures.
In an earlier conversation with CE, the director said that Criminal is a murder mystery. Set in Madurai, Sarath plays a rural cop and Gautham plays an accused.
Criminal's technical crew includes cinematographer Prasanna S Kumar, music composer Sam CS, editor Manikandan Balaji and production designer Surya Rajeevan.
Meanwhile, Gautham Karthik will be next seen in Pathu Thala alongside Silambarasan. The film will release on March 30. He will also be seen in August 16 1947, which is all set to hit theatres on April 7. On the other hand, Sarath Kumar, last seen in Vijay's Varisu, has a handful of projects, including Aazhi, The Smile Man, and Paramporul, among others.
