TJ Gnanavel to direct Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 170
Lyca Productions will be producing the film
While Rajinikanth's Jailer is already creating the much needed hype with its stellar star cast, the actor is next set to join hands with director TJ Gnanavel for his next film, which is tentatively titled Thalaivar 170. The announcement was made, on Thursday, by Lyca Productions which will be producing the film.
The details on rest of the cast and technical crew members are kept under wraps, but the music for the upcoming film will be scored Rajinikanth's nephew and composer Anirudh Ravichander.
In a note issued by the makers, they revealed that the shooting for the film will begin soon under the leadership of Lyca's GKM Tamil Kumaran and will be releasing in 2024. “Lyca group is extremely happy and honoured in associating with Thalaivar Rajinikanth once again after many successful projects. And with all your blessings and wishes, we sincerely believe that this movie would attain all pinnacles bringing joy to all the fans,’ the note read.
It is to be noted that this is the first time Gnanavel will be directing Rajinikanth. The director last helmed the hard-hitting Suriya-starrer courtroom drama Jai Bhim. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Jailer under Nelson Dilipkumar’s direction. The actor will also make a special appearance in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam.
