It's a wrap for Ajay Bhupathi's Chevvaikizhamai

The makers of Chevvaikizhamai, the upcoming film directed by Ajay Bhupathi, announced that they have wrapped up filming after 99 days of the shoot. They announced by sharing a video featuring a glimpse of the shoot.

The film stars Payal Rajput as Shailaja. Payal was introduced into the Telugu industry through Ajay's RX 100. In a statement, director Ajay Bhupathi said, "Chevvaikizhamai is an action-thriller set in a village in the 90s. The film will reflect our traditions, culture, and the beauty of our lands. Payal's character Shailaja will be will stay in the minds of the audience long after they watch the film." He also mentioned that there are 30 cast members in the film, all of whom have important roles to essay. 

The film is titled Chovvazhcha in Malayalam and Mangalavaaram in Telugu and Kannada. Chevvaikizhamai is produced by Swathi Gunupati and Suresh Varma M under the banners Mudhra Creative Works and A Creative Works, respectively. 

Chevvaikizhamai 's music is composed by Kantara fame Ajaneesh B Loknath. Meanwhile, Ajay Bhupathi made his debut as a director with RX 100 (2018), which starred Kartikeya Gummakonda in the lead role. In 2021, he directed Maha Samudram, which starred Sharwanand, Siddarth, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Anu Emmanuel in important roles.
