Recently, we reported that Karthi is all set to play the lead in director-cinematographer Prem Kumar's next.  It has now been announced that he will begin shooting for the yet-to-be-titled film in November.

Karthi already has Japan and Nalan Kumarasamy's film in his pipeline. He is set to begin filming for Prem Kumar's film after wrapping up the shoot for these two films. Tentatively titled Karthi 27, the film will star Aravind Swamy as the antagonist. With Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment backing the project, PC Sreeram will be handling cinematography.

Meanwhile, the talkie portions of Karthi's Japan, helmed by Raju Murugan, were wrapped recently. The film, which marks Karthi's 25th, is produced by SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner. Also starring Anu Emmanuel, Sunil and Vijay Milton, the film has cinematography by Ravi Varman. Karthi will return to the sets in Japan for a final song shoot, for a schedule of 10 days. The songs are composed by GV Prakash, and a multi-crore worth set is being erected for this particular number.

Additionally, Karthi is also filming for Nalan's film, which is also currently untitled. He is heading to Nalan's set for the shoot and will be there throughout the month of August. The film is bankrolled by Studio Green's KE Gnanavel Raja. Karthi will wrap filming for his 26th in October, after wrapping the song shoot for Japan
