Chandramukhi 2 first look: Raghava Lawrence is the new Vettaiyan

On Monday, the makers of Chandramukhi 2 released the first look poster of Raghava Lawrence as Vettaiyan. Dressed in a majestic suit, Raghava Lawrence can be seen descending a grand stairwell of the Chandramukhi Aranmanai (mansion). The upcoming horror film is all set to hit theatres on Vinayaga Chathurthi.

P Vasu, who helmed Chandramukhi (2005), has also directed the sequel. With Kangana Ranaut as the female lead, the film is backed by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions. Chandramukhi 2 marks Kangana's third Tamil project after Dhaam Dhoom (2008) and Thalaivii (2021).

Apart from Lawrence and Kangana, Chandramukhi 2 features an ensemble cast including Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, Ravi Maria, and Shrushti Dange among others. MM Keeravani has composed music for this film which has cinematography by RD Rajasekar and editing by Lewellyn Gonsalvez.

Chandramukhi was a direct remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1997). The makers have not yet clarified whether the sequel is a continuation of the original's storyline. Chandramukhi starred Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Jyotika, Nayanthara, and Vadivelu in lead roles.
