Venkat Prabhu to present Nanban Oruvan Vandha Piragu

Venkat Prabhu, on Sunday, announced that he will be presenting Meesaya Murukku-fame Ananth's directorial debut, Nanban Oruvan Vandha Piragu (NOVP). Written, directed and performed by Ananth, the film also features Bhavani Sre, RJ Vijay, and Monica in lead roles.

Ananth is known for playing Aadhi's brother in Meesaya Murukku. Described as a 'Venkat Prabhu gift' and a 'life by Ananth', NOVP is billed to be a drama based on friendship. The film is produced by Masala Popcorn Productions and White Feather Studios.

In a previous conversation with CE, Ananth said, "NOVP is a film about youngsters and as it stars 13 actors in main roles, we've all become close friends over the shoot. Each decade will have a film on friendship that has stood the test of time - like a Boys or Chennai 600028. Right now, the genre is being missed a lot, and our film will tap into that. It's a slice-of-life friendship film that will also be about travel and like an ode to AR Rahman sir."

Kumaravel, CWC fame-Bala, Wilspat, Irfan, Sabarish and RJ Aanandhi play supporting roles in NOVP. Kaatrin Mozhi-fame AH Kaashif is handling the music for Nanban Oruvan Vantha Piragu

The makers are yet to announce the crew details and release date for the film.
