Kalyani Priyadarshan: Genie seems to be making all my wishes come true at the same time

On Wednesday, actor Kalyani Priyadarshan took to Twitter to share her feeling about her next Tamil film Genie. She is all set to feature alongside Jayam Ravi, Wamiqa Gabbi and Krithi Shetty in the film.

She wrote, "Super excited for my next in Tamil! I know it’s been a bit of a wait for you guys but I feel in my heart this will be worth it! Hope we have everyone’s blessings. Genie is a film that seems to be making all my wishes come true at the same time! An incredibly interesting script, a role that gives me so much scope to perform, a huge casting coup, a director as crazy and passionate as I am, a producer who goes all in… and … AR Rahman sir."

In Tamil, Kalyani Priyadarshan was last seen in the 2021 Venkat Prabhu film Maanadu, in which she was seen alongside Silambarasan. She made her debut in Tamil with the 2019 film Hero starring Sivakarthikeyan and helmed by PS Mithran.

Genie is helmed by Bhuvanesh Arjunan, an erstwhile assistant of Mysskin. With music by AR Rahman, the technical crew of Genie also includes Mahesh Muthuswami cranking the camera, Pradeep E Ragav handling editing, and Umesh J Kumar in charge of art direction.
