Rajinikanth appreciates Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan

The film stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles

With Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan currently running in theatres, actor Rajinikanth showered praises on the film and took to social media to congratulate the team. Calling it a wonderful film, Rajinikanth said Maamannan emphasised on equality and congratulated the core cast of the film, including Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil.

In response to this, Mari Selvaraj also shared photos of his meeting with Rajinikanth and thanked the latter for his wishes and support. “I express gratitude and happiness from the bottom of my heart to Rajinikanth sir,” he wrote and added that he is as elated as when he was when Rajinikanth appreciated his other films, Karnan and Pariyerum Perumal.

Maamannan also stars Keerthy Suresh, Lal, Raveena Ravi, Azhagam Perumal and has music scored by AR Rahman. The film is backed by Red Giant Movies and is Udhayanidhi’s final film as an actor. The film touches upon caste oppression against the political backdrop of Salem.
