Sasikumar celebrates 15 years of Subramaniapuram

The director-actor announced that he is starting his next directorial venture

Celebrating 15 years since the release of his 2008 Tamil period action film Subramaniapuram, actor-director Sasikumar extended his gratitude for the response he got for the film and announced that he is kickstarting his next directorial venture.  

However, Sasikumar did not reveal any other additional details of his next project. Subramaniapuram marked Sasikumar’s maiden directorial, in which he also acted alongside Jai, Swathi, Ganja Karuppu, Samuthirakani, among others. The film opened to commercial success and was critically acclaimed for its performances and writing.

Taking to social media, Sasikumar wrote, “It’s like yesterday. 15 years of Subramaniapuram. The memories are still fresh. You all didn’t just approve of the film but celebrated it. On this remarkable day I want to share the news with you all that I’m starting up my next directorial venture.”

In another video message, Sasikumar extended his gratitude and added, “I am happy to know that a film stayed in the hearts of the people for 15 years and I thank them for supporting and celebrating my film. Subramaniapuram has been an important milestone in my career. It is this film that took me to the place I am now.”

Meanwhile, Sasikumar was last seen in Ayothi. He will be next seen in Pagaivanuku Arulvai and untitled Tamil film alongside Naveen Chandra.
