Actor Kamal Haasan has a wide and diverse fan base that includes people from all generations. Filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj and Gautham Vasudev Menon are two well-known fans of Kamal. Recently the duo engaged in a friendly argument about who is the bigger admirer of the veteran actor

The 2006 film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, has been re-released in theatres and has become a remarkable success at the Tamil Nadu box office. Referring to the re-release's success, on Sunday, a Twitter user argued that Gautham would be the winner if a fan-boy battle happened between Gautham and Lokesh. In response to the tweet, Lokesh said," No need of a doubt, it is GVM".

However, Gautham responded to Lokesh's comment as he used to be the biggest fan until Lokesh's arrived with Vikram, "Was' Until you and Nayagan Meendum Varaan came, Vikram. I have to try and rise above that. Will be a good challenge. Aana Intha sandaiyila satta kizhiyaadhu. Only Love"

In response to Gautam's tweet, Lokesh expressed his love and congratulated him on the re-release of Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, "Loads of love and respect to you, sir. Thrilled and exhilarated to see the response for the re-release of the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu film now. More love and power to our Ulaganayagan."
