Director-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon is the latest star to join the ensemble cast of Thalapathy 67. An official regarding the same was made by the film's production house Seven Screen Studios through their Twitter handle.
Details regarding Gautham’s role in the film are unclear at the moment. In the official announcement, the filmmaker was quoted as saying, “Rubbing shoulders with the best in the industry but this time in front of the camera. Happy to be a part of Thalapathy 67.”
Interestingly, the director was supposed to direct Vijay in an action film titled Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru which later got shelved. Gautham will be joining fellow director-turned-actor Mysskin in the cast along with Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sandy.
The music for the film will be composed by Anirudh while dialogues will be written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar, and Deeraj Vaidy. The cinematography will be handled by Manoj Paramahamsa while Philomin Raj takes care of the editing. The makers are yet to confirm the female lead while speculations are rife about Trisha joining hands with Vijay, fifteen years after Kuruvi.
