Dhanush to collaborate with Mithran Jawahar for D50?

Actor Dhanush's 50th film, tentatively titled D50 was recently announced to be produced by Sun Pictures. The announcement came along with a poster that showed a massive smoke breaking out in the backdrop of a slum. Directed by Dhanush, the film will speculatively star Vishnu Vishal and SJ Suryah in lead roles.

Some reports also suggest that Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan are also roped in to play prominent roles. Now, the latest reports suggest that director Mithran Jawahar of Thiruchitrambalam fame is expected to work along with Dhanush on the script of D50. If these reports are true, D50 will be the 5th collaboration for the duo. However, we await official confirmation from the makers.

Just like his first directorial Pa Paandi, Dhanush is expected to play an extended role in D50 as well. On the other hand, Dhanush is currently awaiting the release of his Tamil-Telugu bilingual Vaathi/Sir. He is also shooting for Arun Matheswaran's period action drama Captain Miller, alongside Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, Shivarajkumar and Nivedhithaa Sathish. The actor is expected to start shooting for his 50th film after wrapping the Arun directorial.
