Lokesh Kanagaraj shooting promo for Thalapathy 67 announcement?

As we earlier reported, the much-awaited Lokesh Kanagaray-Vijay project titled Thalapathy 67 started shooting on Monday. The makers of the film are reportedly shooting in a film city in Chennai and if reports are to be believed then Lokesh is shooting the promo for the announcement of the film.

The title for Lokesh’s first team-up with Kamal Haasan Vikram was also announced with a footage that was exclusively shot for promotions and it also set the tone for the film. The promotional video for Thalapathy 67 could be in a similar vein. Although the makers are yet to make an official confirmation, the upcoming film could be a gangster film and rumour mills are abuzz that it could be a part of the filmmaker Lokesh Cinematic Universe that connects several of his previous and upcoming projects including Vikram, Kaithi, and their respective sequels. 

It was also recently confirmed that Gautam Vasudev Menon was also part of Lokesh’s upcoming film. Meanwhile, Vijay will next be seen in the Vamshi Paidipally directorial Varisu which also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
