Vijay's Varisu gets OTT release date 

Varisu, the recently released Vijay-starrer is set to stream on Prime Video from February 22, the streaming platform announced on social media on Friday.

The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha, among others. The film was backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. Varisu released in theatres for Pongal and was met with mixed response, and but was a commercial success.

A commercial family entertainer, the film revolves a family of three sons, with the youngest played by Vijay. After a conflict brings the estranged son back to his home, Varisu is about how he uplifts his family business while trying to mend broken ties at his home.

Varisu has music by Thaman, and cinematography by Karthik Palani. The film was released in Telugu as Varisudu.
