Makers of Thangalaan to release special glimpse on Vikram's birthday

On Sunday, the makers of Thangalaan announced that they will be releasing "a slice of flesh" from the film on April 17, on the occasion of actor Vikram's birthday. Sharing a poster of Vikram from the film, Studio Green's official Twitter handle said, "Get ready for something powerful from the world of Thangalaan! Witness a slice of flesh on Vikram's birthday: 17th April 2023." Earlier, director Pa Ranjith revealed at a media interaction that 80 per cent of the shoot for Thangalaan has been completed. "We have completed 80% of filming. We also completed shooting major portions in KGF for around 55 days. We have to shoot for the remaining 25 days, and hopefully, it should be over in May. The shooting was challenging but all of them were supportive and put in hard work to make it happen. There is a lot of VFX work so it will need some time. Hopefully, the film will release by the end of this year," he said.

Thangalaan is expected to showcase the story of the origins of the Kolar Gold Field of Karnataka. It also features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Malavika Mohanan, and Hari Krishnan in pivotal roles. The film is backed by Studio Green and Neelam Productions.

GV Prakash is scoring the music of the film, marking his first collaboration with the filmmaker. Tamil Prabha is the co-writer of the film, while Selva RK and SS Murthi will be handling the editing and art departments, respectively. The film will also release in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
