Earlier we reported that Nayanthara will be starring in a film directed by debutant Nilesh Krishnaa, tentatively titled Lady Superstar 75. On Thursday, the makers announced that actor Jai has joined the film's cast.  It is to be noted that Jai has previously acted with Nayanthara in Atlee's 2013 film Raja Rani

In an earlier conversation with Cinema Express, Nilesh revealed that Jai will be a part of the film. The makers made the announcement on the occasion of Jai's birthday.

Nilesh, an assistant to director Shankar, previously said, "I wrote the script in 2019, and took time to research for the film. Even when writing, I had Nayanthara Ma'am in my mind. This will be completely different from other films that had her as the solo lead."

"Even Sathyaraj sir was my first choice for the role. When I planned to bring in Jai into the film, even Nayanthara ma'am was happy about it because of the vibes they shared previously in Raja Rani," shares Nilesh, quickly adding that the casting was purely coincidental and his film is not in any way similar to the Atlee film.

The film has cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and editing by Praveen Antony. The technical crew includes sound designer Suren, costume designers Anu Vardhan, and Dinesh Manoharan and publicity designer Kabilan. The makers are still in the process of finalising the composer for the film.

Meanwhile, Jai, who was last seen in a cameo role in Ghosty, will be starring in Label, a series by Arunraja Kamaraj. He we also be seen in Theera Kaadhal, a Lyca Productions film helmed by Rohin Venkatesan.
