Shiva confirms being a part of Soodhu Kavvum 2

At a privately organised award function, actor Mirchi Shiva has confirmed that he is a part of the upcoming sequel to the 2013 dark comedy thriller film Soodhu Kavvum. The actor did not divulge any information regarding his role or its prominence in the film. 

CV Kumar, who produced the original film under his banner Thirukumaran Entertainment, had earlier confirmed that he is developing Soodhu Kavvum 2. The producer is also currently developing a sequel to his 2017 sci-fi thriller Maayavan.

While the original film was written and directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the details regarding the sequel have been kept under tight wraps. It was earlier reported that Yung Mung Sung fame MS Arjun will be directing Soodhu Kavvum with Sathyaraj playing the lead role and Vijay Sethupathu reprising his role from the original in a cameo appearance. However, the news has not been officially confirmed by the makers.

Meanwhile, Nalan Kumarasamy is reportedly shooting for a yet-to-be-titled film with Karthi in the lead.
