Karthi and Rashmika Mandanna to reunite after Sulthan?

The latest buzz suggests that actor Karthi's upcoming film with director Raju Murugan is titled Japan, and Rashmika Mandanna is on board to play the female lead. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film's shooting will reportedly begin on October 5. However, no official announcement on the same has been made yet.
Raju Murugan is known for directing films like Joker, Gypsy and Cuckoo. Joker was awarded the Best feature film in Tamil at the 64th National Film Awards.
The upcoming film, Japan, will mark the second-time collaboration between Karthi and Rashmika after Sulthan (2021). Meanwhile, Karthi, who was last seen in Viruman, is gearing up for the release of Ponniyin Selvan:1 and Sardar. On the other hand, Rashmika, who was last seen in Sita Ramam, has a slew of projects, including Hindi films Goodbye, Mission Majnu, Animal and Tamil-Telugu films Varisu and Pushpa 2.
