Actor Sundeep Kishan, who was last seen in Telugu film Gully Rowdy, will be part of Dhanush's upcoming film Captain Miller, the makers announced on social media on Saturday.

The film, helmed by Arun Matheswaran, is expected to go on floors from October 7. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Captain Miller will mark the first collaboration of Dhanush and Sundeep.

It will be a period drama set against the backdrops of the 1930-40s. Captain Miller will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The team has undergone one year of the extensive pre-production phase.

The film’s technical crew consists of Shreyaas Krishna handling cinematography, with Nagooran in charge of the edit. T Ramalingam is the art director. Coincidentally, Arun’s previous directorial, Saani Kaayidham featured Dhanush’s brother and filmmaker Selvaraghavan in the lead role.

Captain Miller is scheduled to release in 2023
