Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan to grace Ponniyin Selvan audio and trailer launch

The audio and trailer launch event of Ponniyin Selvan is set to be held on September 6 at Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The makers have announced that Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, the two icons of Indian cinema, will be the chief guests at the event. Many other prominent names from the Tamil film industry are also expected to attend the event, which will have a live performance from AR Rahman and team.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan is a period epic based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel of the same name. It is set to be released in two parts, with the first installment, PS-1, coming out on September 30 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages.

Ponniyin Selvan has a huge ensemble that includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, and R Parthiban. The big-budget epic is produced under the banners of Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
