Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai to release in two parts

We had previously reported that director Vetrimaaran's next is Viduthalai and will star Vijay Sethupathi and Soori in the lead roles. It's now known that the film will release in two parts. Both parts are to be presented by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
 
According to a source close to the unit, the shooting of Viduthalai 1 has been completed and post-production of the film is happening currently in full swing. The shooting for Viduthalai 2 is at its last leg and is currently being shot in Sirumalai and Kodaikanal. 

The makers have spent Rs 10 crore for a train and railway bridge set and a huge village set was also constructed in Sirumalai to shoot a crucial scene. The final leg of the sequel involves an action sequence choreographed by Peter Hein and involves a stunt team from Bulgaria. 

Also starring Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chethan and Bhavani Sre, the film's music is composed by Ilaiyaraaja with cinematography by Velraj.
