RRR to release in Japan on October 21

RRR, the SS Rajamouli period action drama is set to release in Japan on Friday, the makers announced.

Backed by DVV Entertainment, RRR stars Ram Charan and Junior NTR in the lead roles. Set against the pre-Independence India backdrop, the film opened to humoungous financial and critical success.

Ram Charan and Junior NTR play fictionalised versions of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively. Both the actors were seen leaving to Japan to attend the film release.

RRR also stars Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.

The film was a strong contender for selecting it as India’s representation for Oscars. The film released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
