Dhanush-Sekhar Kammula film launched with pooja ceremony

Sekhar Kammula is best known for films like Happy Days, Leader, Fidaa, and Love Story

We had earlier reported that Dhanush was set to join hands with ace director Sekhar Kammula for a project, and the makers officially launched the film on Monday. 

The yet-to-be-titled film marks the first collaboration between the two National Award winners. While Dhanush has won the award for his performances in Asuran and Aadukalam, Sekhar won the National Award for Best Debut Film of a Director for Dollar Dreams (2000)

The film production began with a pooja ceremony at a temple in Secunderabad. Bankrolled by Sunil Narang under his banner Sree Venkateswara Cinemas along with Amigos Creations, the film will be simultaneously shot and released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. According to reports, filming will begin shortly in Hyderabad.

The makers of the film are yet to reveal details regarding the rest of the cast and their release plans.

Sekhar Kammula is best known for films like Happy Days, Leader, Fidaa, and Love Story. Dhanush will next be seen in Venky Atluri’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual Vaathi/Sir which is all set to hit theatres on February 17. The film was earlier slated to release on December 2.
