Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions is known for backing strong, content-oriented films that tell stories of the oppressed. The production house currently has an exciting lineup of projects, which will be helmed by a bunch of promising directors.

After Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu, Neelam Productions is backing director Athiyan Athirai's second film as well. Titled Dandakaranyam, the film is about a young man’s struggles to secure a government job.

The production house is launching another newcomer Akiran Moses, who previously assisted Pa Ranjith in Kabali. His directorial debut Ill is about how a road rage incident between two locals of a stressed-out capital city triggers a series of events that eventually ends up in a gang war.

Lenin Bharathi, who made his filmmaking debut with the critically-acclaimed Merku Thodarchi Malai, will next helm a film titled Kizhakinthiya Company. It will explores the legacy and the scars left behind by the British Raj’s Criminal Tribes Act, 1871.

Meanwhile, Neelam Productions' latest SonyLIV release Seththumaan is getting good reviews from critics and cinephiles. The film directed by Tamizh deals with the politics around food and caste.
