Cinematographer Ravi Varman has joined Karthi's upcoming film with director Raju Murugan. It was reported in early 2020 that the actor would be joining hands with the Cuckoo filmmaker.

The shooting of the film is expected to begin soon this month. Meanwhile, Karthi is currently shooting for his upcoming film Sardar directed by PS Mithran and will soon begin shooting for the Raju Murugan directorial and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.

Interestingly, Ravi Varman is also the cinematographer for director Mani Ratnam's PS-1 and PS-2 (Ponniyin Selvan), which has Karthi playing the lead role. The shooting of the films were wrapped up recently and the post production works of PS-1 are going on in full swing. It may be noted that Ravi was also the cinematographer for Karthi's Kaatru Veliyidai, which was also directed by Mani Ratnam.

There is no word on the plot details or the release date of the Raju Murugan film.
