Actor Mehreen Pirzada, who was last seen in Tamil in 2020's Dhanush-starer Pattas, will next star in a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. Titled Spark, the film will also star debutant Vikranth in the lead role.

Spark will be directed by newcomer Aravind Kumar Ravivarma, an erstwhile assistant of cinematographer Rathnavelu. Aravind, who has worked in many films and more than 400 advertisements, will also be in charge of this project's cinematography. The rest of the cast includes Vennela Kishore, Sathya, Srikanth Iyengar and Annapurna.

The film's lead Vikranth, who is a businessman from the USA, will also be bankrolling the film under his Dead Frog Productions banner. The launch ceremony happened earlier today in Hyderabad in the presence of director Surender Reddy, Rathnavelu, and producer Anvesh Reddy. While the first schedule will be shot in Hyderabad, the rest of the film will be shot in Vizag, Darjeeling, Mumbai, Goa and foreign locations.

Meanwhile, Mehreen is awaiting the release of her Telugu film, F3: Fun and Frustration.
