Anyone following Tamil cinema would be aware of the cold war between actors Arun Vijay and Sivkarthikeyan. It all started when a tweet from Arun's official handle hinted at mocking Sivakarthikeyan's Seema Raja trailer for having 'mass masala' elements.

Though Arun came up with a clarification saying his account was hacked and he never meant to demean a colleague, a majority of the netizens refused to buy him. The same issue was repeated during the release of Sivakarthikeyan's Mr Local, which coincidentally had a dialogue by Sathish referring to the online spat.

These events led to online rivalry between the fans of the actors and it was said that both of them consciously avoided sharing the same stage.

A recently released video of Arun and Siva in a wedding added fuel to the fire as they avoided interacting or even facing each other.

Now, Sivakarthikeyan has taken the first step to end the online rivalry by wishing Arnav Vijay on his birthday and praising his performance in Oh My Dog!

Arun in return thanked Siva, calling him brother. He also promised to pass on the wishes to his son.

The kind gestures of the actors, putting aside their differences has impressed everyone and many are lauding the initiative of Siva.

On the work front, Sivakarthikeyan's Don will be releasing this week, he also has upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual and Ayalaan.

Arun Vijay has a slew of films including Agni Siragugal, Boxer and Sinam in various stages of production. Yaanai directed by Hari will be hitting the screens on June 17.
