Kalidas Jayaram, Manju Warrier and Yogi Babu in Centimeter

We had previously reported that ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan who has also directed films like Asoka and Urumi has directed a new Malayalam film titled Jack N' Jill. The film's trailer was also released last Tuesday. It's now known that the film will release in Tamil as Centimeter.

The Tamil version of the film was announced by veteran director Mani Ratnam on Saturday via a video clip in which he congratulated Santhosh and the team. Interestingly, Santhosh has worked as the cinematographer in many of Mani's films like Thalapathi, Roja, Iruvar, Dil Se.., Raavan and also the director's last film to hit the screens, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

Centimeter stars Manju Warrier in the lead role along with Kalidas Jayaram, Nedumudi Venu and Yogi Babu. While Yogi Babu wasn't shown in the Malayalam trailer of Jack N' Jill, it's speculated that the comedy portions of the Tamil version were shot separately with the comedian.

With Santhosh handling the cinematography for the film, Centimeter's music is by Jakes Bejoy, Ram Surendar and Gopi Sundar.
