We had previously reported that Jayam Ravi and director I Ahmed will be teaming up for a quickie while they await restrictions to be lifted to shoot the foreign schedule of their spy thriller, Jana Gana Mana. A new development regarding the second film is that the team has roped in Nayanthara to play the female lead. The filmmaker has recently confirmed the news while speaking to a daily. It marks the second collaboration between the actors post the 2015 hit thriller Thani Oruvan.

The film is reportedly a psychological thriller with a love story at its center. The filmmaker also added in his interview that both Ravi and Nayanthara will be essaying roles they haven't played so far. Reports also suggest that the team is planning to begin filming this month and eyeing to finish by July.

In addition to this project, Ravi has Agilan and a project with M Rajesh lined up, while Nayanthara has Connect, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, and Godfather coming up. She is also reportedly a part of Atlee's Hindi film starring Shah Rukh Khan.
