Simbu, Gautham Karthik film Pathu Thala release date announced

Pathu Thala is the official remake of the 2017 Kannada film, Mufti

The makers of Simbu, Gautham Karthik-starrer Pathu Thala have announced that the film will be hitting screens on December 14. Produced joitnly by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, Pathu Thala is the official remake of the 2017 Kannada film, Mufti.

The original starred Shivarajkumar and Sriimurali as the leads. In the Tamil version, Simbu is reprising Shivarajkumar's role. He is essaying the role of gangster named AGR in the film.

Obeli N Krishna of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal-fame is directing Pathu Thala. The film stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam will be seen in supporting roles. It has music by AR Rahman and cineamtography by Farook J Basha. Praveen KL handles the edits.

Meanwhile, Simbu has the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu slated to hit screens on September 15.
