Kamal Haasan gets his UAE Golden Visa

Kamal Haasan has finally got UAE's 10-year Golden Visa. The veteran was among the first to be recommended by the UAE administration to receive the Visa. However, due to pandemic and his other commitments, he could not personally go and recieve it. A photo of Kamal receiving the Visa personally is currently doing the rounds in social media.

It was in 2019 that the UAE administration approved the issuance of a 10-year Golden Visa in a bid to attract and retain talents, including investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes.

Several celebs from Indian cinema including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Tovino Thomas, Dulquer Salmaan, and Prithviraj are among the few to have recieved the prestigious Visa. From Tamil inudstry, Vijay Sethupathi, Parthiban and Trisha have already been given the Golden Visa.

On the work front, Kamal Haasan's latest release Vikram has emerged as one of the highest grossing Tamil films of all time. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from July 8. Kamal is also planning to team up with Malayalam editor-turned-filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan for his next.
