Director Mari Selvaraj's next with Actor-Politician Udhayanidhi Stalin, Maamannan, has completed the second schedule of its shooting. Apart from Udhayanidhi, the film, which is touted to be a political drama, also stars Fahadh Faasil, Vadivelu and Keerthy Suresh in prominent roles.

Udhayanidhi Stalin shared pictures from the shooting spot where the cast and crew were celebrating the end of the shooting of the second schedule by cutting cake.

He wrote on Twitter, "And it's the end of Maamannan 2nd schedule. Last and final schedule will happen only if Keerthy Suresh ma'am and Fahadh give dates. Please consider. Sorry Mari Selvaraj sir for all the torture and one mores! Thanks Maamannan team!"

He then shared another picture where he was seen feeding cake to Mari Selvaraj and said, "Maamannan. And this is for the all-time record-breaking one mores. Mari Selvaraj sir, Keerthy Suresh ma'am and Theni Eswar sir."

Recently, the team also celebrated cinematographer Theni Eswar's birthday on the sets of film where comedian Vadivelu and actor Fahadh Faasil were also present.

Maamannan is anticipated for the return of Vadivelu, who is starring as the lead in Suraaj's Naai Sekar Returns. Backed by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies, Maamannan has music by AR Rahman. The film has RK Selva on board as the editor and Sandy as the choreographer.
