Third poster of Vijay's Varisu out

Varisu, starring Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, is set for a Pongal 2023 release

Published: 22nd June 2022

Hours after the second poster of Vijay's Varisu was unveiled, the makers have now released the third look as promised.

While the first poster, which was released yesterday, featured a classy Vijay dressed in a suit and the second one had the actor gleefully posing along with kids, the third look is arguably the most 'massy' poster to come out for the film so far. The latest promotional design has the Master-actor sitting on a bike, sporting his signature serious look.

Reported to be a family drama, the film is being helmed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally and features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Well-known actors like Sarath Kumar, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Shaam and Srikanth will be seen in supporting roles.

Produced by Sri Venkateshwara Creations, the film has the tagline, 'The Boss Returns' and the film is scheduled the hit the marquee in January 2023, coinciding with Pongal. Interestingly, Vijay's previous Pongal release was the highly successful Master in 2021, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, with whom the actor is set to reunite post Varisu.

Varisu has music by Thaman, cinematography by Kharthik Palani, and editing by Praveen KL. The film will be simultaneously released in Telugu with the title Varasudu.
