Dhanush's first look from Thiruchitrambalam revealed, watch video

It was announced earlier that Raashi Khanna will play Anusha, Dhanush's high school friend and Priya Bhavani Shankar will essay the role of Ranjani

Dhanush plays the titular role in Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar, and his look in the movie has been revealed with an interesting video.

The video which lasts for 13 seconds shows Dhanush lying with his head down on a Vespa scooter. He then wakes up startled, looking perplexed in the middle of the road.

The makers have been unveiling character posters of the actors involved in the movie for the last few days. It was announced earlier that Raashi Khanna will play Anusha, Dhanush's high school friend and Priya Bhavani Shankar will essay the role of Ranjani. 

The team has also shared three more motion posters announcing the character names of Nithya Menon, director Bharathiraja and actor Prakash Raj. Nithya Menen is playing a character called Shobana, Thiruchitrambalam's best friend while Prakash Raj is playing a strict inspector named Neelakandan. Veteran director Bharathiraja is playing the senior Thiruchitrambalam in the film.

Thiruchitrambalam has music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Om Prakash. Dhanush, who was last seen in Maaran, directed by Karthik Naren, is awaiting the release of his Hollywood movie The Gray Man which also stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. The movie is releasing on Netflix on July 22. He also has Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Vaathi/Sir and an untitled project with Arun Matheswaran in the making.
