Lokesh on responses to Vikram: I haven’t been this emotional ever

Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has posted an emotional tweet following the release of his highly anticipated film, Vikram. 

Lokesh, who has been vocal about his reverence for Kamal Haasan, tweeted, "I haven’t been this emotional ever. The acceptance you have showed on Vikram and me has been so overwhelming. I don’t know how I’m gonna repay you guys for all this love. Ever grateful to Kamal Haasan sir and my amazing people. So moved. Love you all." 

Vikram was released on Friday to packed houses and largely positive reactions. Udhayanidhi Stalin, who has distributed the film through his Red Giant Studios, has shared that the film has proven to be a box-office success while addressing the press recently.

The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, Gayathrie, and Chemban Vinod Jose in prominent roles. Vikram also takes place in the same universe Lokesh's sophomore film, Kaithi is set in and also featured Suriya in a cameo.
