Vishnu Vishal shares update on his upcoming film Gatta Kusthi with BTS pictures

Yesterday, actor Vishnu Vishal uploaded BTS pictures from Gatta Kusthi and shared updates on the film's progress. The picture showed the actor training on muddy ground for his role as a Kusthi player. 

Vishnu Vishal is returning to the sports-drama genre after his critically acclaimed 2009 film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. The actor is co-producing the film under his banner Vishnu Vishal Studioz along with Telugu actor Ravi Teja's banner RT Team Works. It is unclear at the moment whether the Telugu actor will make an appearance in the film.

The film is also releasing in Telugu under the title Matti Kusthi. Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the film stars Vishnu Vishal in the lead along with Aishwarya Lekshmi. In the Twitter post, Vishnu Vishal states that 80 percent of the shooting is complete, he also adds that the filming is currently taking place in Kerala.

The makers of the film describe it as a ‘sports drama with a twist.’ Vishnu Vishal was last seen in the action-thriller FIR directed by debutant Manu Anand. The filmmakers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
