Nayanthara is set to collaborate with Zee Studios for her landmark 75th film. The production banner made the announcement on Tuesday.

The untitled film will be directed by debutant Nilesh Krishnaa, an erstwhile assistant of director Shankar. "I wrote the script in 2019, and took time to research for the film. Even when writing, I had Nayanthara ma'am in my mind. This will be completely different from other films that had her as the solo lead," says Nilesh, who has roped in actors Jai and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.

"Even Sathyaraj sir was my first choice for the role. When I planned to bring in Jai into the film, even Nayanthara ma'am was happy about it because of the vibes they shared previously in Raja Rani," shares Nilesh, quickly adding that the casting was purely coincidental and his film is not in any way similar to the Atlee film.

Not wanting to divulge details about the central plot point, Nilesh shares that the film will go on floors in the first week of August. The makers are planning to shoot the film in Trichy and Chennai for about 45 -50 days.

The film has cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and editing by Praveen Antony. The technical crew includes sound designer Suren, costume designers Anu Vardhan, Dinesh Manoharan and publicity designer Kabilan. The makers are still in the process of finalising the composer for the film.

Nilesh shares that he had invited director Shankar for the poojai ceremony of the film, but his guru couldn't make it to the event because it clashed with the shooting of RC 15. "He expressed his happiness about me turning director and told me to always remain honest about my craft," says Nilesh.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara who was last seen in O2 has a slew of projects in the pipeline including Malayalam film Gold, Telugu film Godfather, Hindi Film Jawan and Tamil film Connect.
