Rakshit Shetty to present Sai Pallavi's Gargi in Kannada

It has been announced that actor, director and producer Rakshit Shetty will be presenting the Kannada version of Sai Pallavi's upcoming film, Gargi, through his production house, Paramvah Pictures. Rakshit took to Twitter to make the announcement.

"So why am I presenting this film in Kannada?" Rakshit asked in the statement. He revealed that the film's director Gautham is a "good friend for almost a decade" making it an easy decision. The 777 Charlie actor, however, added that he had a "thousand more reasons to present it" after watching the film.

He went on to add, "After #GGVV, if there is one more film which has touched my heart and haunted me for days, that is Gargi. The film slowly takes you into Gargi's life and before you know it, you are already fighting for her cause. A cause which is very personal but it only takes a personal cause for a hero to change the world around her."

Rakshit also went on to appreciate the film and Sai Pallavi's performance. "His (Gautham) treatment of the film, the way he has played with visuals, music and sound is simply beautiful. Sai Pallavi is a thinking actor and as Gargi, her performance is simply outstanding. Her commitment to the role and how seriously she takes her craft is visible on every frame. Kaali Venkat as Indra is one more character who stole the show for me."

Rakshit ended his statement by thanking Sheethal Shetty and the team for their support with the Kannada dubbing.

Billed as an emotional courtroom drama, Suriya’s production banner 2D Entertainment is set to present the film in Tamil.
