Dhanush and Arun Matheswaran's film confirmed to be Captain Miller

The upcoming film is said to be a period drama set in the 1930-40s

It is already known that actor Dhanush will be teaming up with director Arun Matheswaran for a feature film. The new development is that Sathya Jyothi Films will be bankrolling the project, which is now titled Captain Miller.

The makers of Captain Miller released a glimpse of the film in form of a one-minute teaser, which also revealed that GV Prakash will be helming the music.

The teaser, which is supported by whistle background score, shows Dhanush making an entry in style with his face covered with mask and riding a motorbike holding a rifle on his shoulder. Dhanush’s character name and the title is revealed as Captain Miller.

The upcoming film will be a period drama set against the backdrops of the 1930-40s. Captain Miller will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The team has undergone one year of the extensive pre-production phase.

TG Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films is presenting the film, which is backed by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan. The film is co-produced by G. Saravanan and Sai Siddharth.

The film’s technical crew consists of Shreyaas Krishna handling cinematography, with Nagooran in charge of the edit. T Ramalingam is the art director.

Coincidentally, Arun’s previous directorial, Saani Kaayidham featured Dhanush’s brother and filmmaker Selvaraghavan in the lead role.

Captain Miller is scheduled to release in 2023
