Family, freedom and fatherhood: Here's what Vikram-Dhruv-Karthik Subbaraj's Mahaan is all about

We had earlier reported that Karthik Subbaraj's next, Mahaan, which stars Vikram and Dhruv Vikram in the lead, is set to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from February 10.

Mahaan, which also stars Simran, Bobby Simha and Vani Bhojan in pivotal roles, marks the first time the real-life father-son duo are appearing together onscreen.

According to the official logline of the film, "Mahaan is the story of a man whose family leaves him when he strays from the path of ideological living in his search for personal freedom. However, as he realises his ambitions, he also misses the presence of his son in his life. Having fulfilled his dream of becoming a billionaire, does life give him a second chance to be a father? This story is about how his life goes through an unexpected series of events in this thrilling, action-packed journey."

Mahaan will also be available in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada for Prime Video subscribers. Backed by Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio, Mahaan has music by Santhosh Narayanan, editing by Vivek Harshan, and cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna.

While Vikram has Cobra, Ponniyin Selvan, and a film with Pa Ranjith in various stages of production, Dhruv will next be part of Mari Selvaraj's upcoming project.
