Vishal's Veerame Vaagai Soodum joins Pongal race

Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, which was initially announced to hit the theatres on January 26, has joined the list of pongal releases. The Vishal-Dimple Hayathi starrer will now hit the screens on January 14. 

The announcement was made by Vishal Film Factory this evening. The release date advancement was reportedly triggered after the mega-budget release RRR got postponed indefinitely due to the third wave of COVID-19. 

The shooting of Veerame Vaagai Soodum was wrapped on 2nd January. Titled Saamanyudu in Telugu, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Kavin Raj.

The film directed by debutant Thu Pa Saravanan, also stars Raveena Ravi in a supporting role.

Vishal, who was last seen in the Deepavali release, Enemy, has Laththi and Thupparivaalan 2 in the pipeline.
