Vaathi's Tamil Nadu theatrical rights sold

The makers of the Dhanush-starrer Vaathi/Sir recently announced that the release is rescheduled to February 17, 2023, from December 2. 

The latest update is that Seven Screen Studio has acquired the theatrical rights for Vaathi in Tamil Nadu.

Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual film is written and directed by Venky Atluri. Set in the 90s, Dhanush plays a junior school teacher named Balamurugan and Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead. Vaathi also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Aadukalam Naren, and Ilavarasu. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer J Yuvaraj and music composer GV Prakash.
